Rodolfo "Rudy" Hernandez, II, of Seguin, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the age of 80. He was born in Seguin, Texas on March 12, 1938 to Rodolfo Hernandez, Sr. and Jesusa (Montanez).
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings: Ben, Domingo, and Manuel Hernandez and Gloria Montez; and children: Rudy Hernandez III and Louis Hernandez.
Survivors include his wife: Delia R. Hernandez, children: Carol Villa (Jimmy), Patricia Arriaga (Joe), Viola H. Villa, Michelle Hernandez (Patric Castillo), Raymond Hernandez (Gloria), Julian Hernandez, Ricky Hernandez (Dolores), Benny Hernandez (Brenda); 30 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren, 6 siblings, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Rudy was an outgoing, family man. He was a masonry master for majority of his life. He spent a lot of time reading his Bible. His favorite bible verse was Psalm 91. He loved all of his family dearly, he enjoyed fishing, he loved sports, his teams were the San Antonio Spurs, Houston Astros, and the Dallas Cowboys. He also enjoyed spending time at the WinStar Casino. He was a very loving and caring person, he will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at the Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, November 30, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at the St. James Catholic Church on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. The Burial will follow at the Santo Tomas Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the grandsons: Hank Saldana, Joe Hernandez, Jay Villa, Manuel Hernandez, Julian Hernandez Jr, Raymond Hernandez Jr, Ricky Hernandez Jr, and Benny Hernandez Jr.
