Rosa Arce

Rosa Alvarez Arce Seguin, Texas was wrapped in the arms of the Lord on February 8, 2021 at the age of 87. She was born on February 10, 1933 to Ignacio Alvarez and Andrea (Rodriguez) Alvarez in Seguin, Texas.

Rosa loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals for her family. She was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a grandmother; Rosa had a vivacious personality and she will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her father, Ignacio and mother, Andrea; son, Louis Arce Jr., and her sister, Locaria Ramos.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 67 years, Louis Arce Sr., children, Gloria Arce, Diane Arce Flores, Louis Arce III. Antonio Arce and wife Sylvia, Gerardo Arce and wife Candice, Paul Arce, Rosalinda Arce Valdez and husband Rick, Noel Arce, Marisela Arce and husband Francisco, Gracie Galvan; many grandchildren and many many great-grandchildren; brothers, Ignacio Alvarez, Marcelino Alvarez, Juan Alvarez; sisters, Frances Sandoval, and Petra Alvarez.  She is further survived by many nieces and nephews, and extended family and friend.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 3-6 p.m. and recitation of the Holy Rosary at 5:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Anthony Galvan, AJ Arce, Chris Flores, DK High, Rickie Valdez and Noel Arce Jr.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, the chapel has a limited capacity of 50 guests at a time. As per CDC protocols social distancing of 6 feet is required and all guests attending services at the funeral home and cemetery are required to wear a face covering.
