Ruben Magaña of Seguin, Texas was welcomed into Our Father’s Heavenly Kingdom on Friday, August 28, 2020 at the age of 58. Ruben was born to Fidel and Ofelia Robles Magaña in Fentress, Texas on August 20, 1962.
Ruben is preceded in death by his parents Fidel and Ofelia Magaña; brothers, Fidel Magaña, Jr., Steve Magaña, Jesse ''Hamon'' Magaña, Billy Magaña, Jerry Magaña, Rickey Magaña and sister Julia Moreno.
Ruben is survived by his children, Jessica (Anthony) Riojas, Crystal Magaña (Johnny Moreno), Lionel Jimenez; grandchildren, Josiah Luna, Kilian Jimenez, Christi Luna (Ray Honesto), Michael Luna (Maria Juarez); great grandchildren, Nova Luna and Avery Honesto; sisters, Gloria and husband Domingo Gomez, Susie Villareal, Sandra and husband Bobby Garcia, JoAnn Magaña, Estella Perez, Terry Villarreal, Yvette and husband Francisco Rivera, Priscilla and husband Jr Sanchez; brothers, Randy Magaña, Carlos and wife Melinda Villarreal, Jr., Daniel Villarreal, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Ruben loved to watch sports with his family. He was a big jokester that loved to tell stories and make everyone laugh. He cared and loved his family very much. He was a very positive person and never had anything negative to say. He will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. with a Rosary to be recited at 5:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Santo Tomas Cemetery.
Due to the circumstances with COVID-19, every guest will be required to wear a face covering both at the funeral home and at the church. A 45 person maximum can be accommodated at once in the funeral home chapel.
