Santiago "Jimmy" Hernandez, Jr., age 79, of Seguin, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017. Santiago was born in Guadalupe County on October 9, 1938 to Santiago F. Hernandez, Sr., and Feliciana (Garcia) Hernandez.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Felipa S. Hernandez; parents, and sisters, Dominga Zapata of San Antonio, TX, Maria Elena DeLuna of El Campo, TX, and Virginia Hernandez of Luling; and son, Trino Hinojosa of Cedar Park, TX.
Survivors include his children, Felicitas "Sandra" Estrada, Mary Rose (Gilbert) Sanchez, Jesse Perales, Santiago "Jimmy" Hernandez III, James Hernandez; grandchildren, Joey (Chrystal) Estrada, Jared (Aleska) Balderas, Adrian Angeles, Crystal Sanchez, Trianna (Eric) Morales, Jaime Leann (Carlos T.) Hernandez, Mathew Hernandez; great grandchildren, Ashton Adyson, Aubrey, Ezra, and Aria; sisters, Juanita (Jesse) Martinez of Seguin, TX and Toni (Gilbert) Rodriguez of Karnes City, TX; and numerous nephews and nieces and other loving family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Friday, December 15, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with a Christian Burial to follow at San Geronimo Cemetery.
