Santiago L. Medrano, age 66, of Seguin, Texas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 6, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born to Enrique Medrano and Lorenza Luna Medrano on May 1, 1953 in Seguin, Texas.
Santiago is preceded in death by his father, Enrique Medrano and brothers, Carlos and Antonio Medrano.
He is survived by his mother, Lorenza Luna; children, Cynthia Medrano and husband Javier Garcia, James Medrano and wife Cynthia, Chris Medrano and wife Pauline, Adrian Medrano and wife Kimberly; grandchildren, Aissa, Ruben, Kalen, Haley, Mia, Christopher, Julian, Kyle and Abigail; great-granddaughter, Amaziah; mother of his children, Minerva Medrano; siblings, Dora Cardenas and husband Bobby, Mary and husband Manuel Rodriguez, Ester Medrano, Irene Medrano, Gloria Medrano, Delia and husband Adrian Peña, Alejandro Medrano; grandmother, Rosa Luna; girlfriend, Antonia Lopez and a host of other family and friends.
Santiago was a loving husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother and friend. He was known to everyone as "Mad Dog" or "2020", he enjoyed listening to Jazz on XM radio, fishing any chance he had and also was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and was always there to help anyone in need. Santiago will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. at Palmer Mortuary. The procession will depart promptly at 9:45 a.m. from Palmer Mortuary on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 to Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Following the Mass, interment will be conducted at San Geronimo Cemetery.
