In loving memory of Scotty Adams Sr., known by many as "Rooster", a man whose life was as vibrant and spirited as the roosters he cherished. Scotty was born on a summer's day in 1953, in Pearsall, Texas, and he peacefully departed from this world on March 23, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas. His journey on this earth was filled with tales of adventure, bravery, and an unwavering spirit that touched the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Scotty's legacy is woven with threads of hard work and dedication. He spent years working on feed lots as a cowboy before transitioning to the oilfield, showcasing his grit and determination in every task he undertook. His passion for riding horses and participating in rodeos made him a legend among his peers. Scotty was a well known and respected man among the game-Foul community. He had many wins and trophies under his belt and he never hesitated to share his winning secrets and teach anyone who showed interest. He was known by many generations as “The Bounty Hunter” and was admired and looked up to by all who he touched.
Beyond the arena, Scotty was a masterful pool player whose skills never failed to impress those around him. He found solace and camaraderie at the local bar, where he shared countless stories and forged lifelong friendships. A man of many interests, Scotty also found joy in riding his motorcycle through open roads, embracing the freedom that came with each ride.
His exuberant personality, marked by traits of respect, honor, and love, endeared him to all who crossed his path. Scotty's presence could light up a room; he was the cornerstone of every gathering—a beacon of strength and vitality.
He is survived by his children, Donna Lynn Boe and Scotty Lee Adams Jr., along with many grandchildren, a great-granddaughter, his sister, Donna Diane Adams and brother, Jimmy Dan “Dibs”. He leaves behind a tapestry of memories that will forever be cherished.
In recounting tales from his colorful life filled with woodwork projects, roosters crowing at dawn, and cherished moments spent with his children and grandchildren, Scotty's spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him best. He departed from this world and joined his father, Tommy Adams and mother, Shirley Glass and his son, John Scott Adams in passing.
Visitation will be at Palmer Mortuary & Cremations in Seguin on April 14th, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A celebration of his life will begin at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at the Island of Misfit Toys Family Cemetery.
His legacy will continue to inspire all those who knew him—a testament to a life well-lived, where every moment was embraced with courage and joy. Rest in peace, Scotty Adams Sr., your spirit will forever soar among us like a Rooster at daybreak—proud, strong, eternally remembered.
