Seferina Urquiza

Seferina Sophie Urquiza passed away Saturday, October 10, 2009.

Seferina Sophie was born in Seguin, Texas to Eulalio and Eulalia G. Urquiza on November 8, 1929.

Seferina attended Our Lady of Guadalupe School and was a life long member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church and also a member of the Society of Daughters of Mary HIJAS DE MARIA. She remained single and devout all her life and a true servant of God in ministering and caring for her family. She will truly be missed by all.

Seferina is predeceased in death by her parents, brothers, Guadalupe G. Urquiza and Eleno G. Urquiza; sister-in-law, Anita Cantu Urquiza and nephews David and Robert Cantu Urquiza.

Seferina is survived by one brother, Domingo G. Urquiza; sister-in-law, Ciria Lopez Goulart; first cousinsister, Rosa Gallegos Rangel and Ralph Rangel, Sr.; nephews, Edward Cantu Martinez, Jr., Ralph Rangel, Jr. and Janet; nieces, Janie Ann Urrutia, Mary Esther Thiessen and Mike, Diane Ortiz and Rudy, Dora Perez and Martin; grand nieces, Naomi Urquiza, Anitra Vidal and Roy, Rita Soto and Brian; grand nephew, John Edward Martinez; 16 great great nieces and nephews; sister and brother in Christ, Len and Lee Wilson.

Serving as pallbearers will be nephews, Roy Vidal, John E. Martinez, Ernie Juarez, Gabriel Rodriguez, Ralph Rangel, Jr., Rudy Ortiz and Martin Perez.
