Sulema Gonzalez

Sulema Rodriguez Gonzalez, of Marion, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at the age of 63. She was born in New Braunfels, Texas on August 20, 1954 to Timoteo and Josefa (Sosa) Rodriguez.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Valdemar Gonzalez, father and granddaughter, Alicia Islyn Davis.

Survivors include her children, Rene Rodriguez (Yolanda), Raquel Glasco (Anthony), Rebecca Gonzalez, Sulema Medina (Patricio) and Christopher Gonzalez; grandchildren, Zackary, Hailey, Anamarie, Anthony, Anastacia, James, Eloy, Ashleigh, Miranda and Patrick, Jr., great-granddaughters Amizty and Abby; 4 sisters, as well as nieces and nephews.

Sulema was kind hearted and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those that were in need. She was a hard worker and it showed when it came to providing for her family. She was employed at Jungle Labs and retired in 2010. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, October 30, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Palmer Mortuary Chapel on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Guadalupe Valley Memorial Park.
