Suzanne Flores Gonzales of Seguin, Texas peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the age of 70. She was born to Benjamin Gaytan Flores and Regina Lopez Flores on August 6, 1949 in Luling, Texas.
Suzanne is preceded in death by her father, Benjamin Gaytan Flores; father-in-law, Apolonio Gonzales, mother-in-law, Dolores Martinez Gonzales; brother-in-law’s, Lawrence Ayala and David Richie.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jesus Martinez Gonzales; daughters, Sonia Michelle Reilly and husband, James Reilly, Chief Petty Officer, USN (Retired), Hays County Deputy Sheriff, Jessica Tressa Schuelke and husband, Hays County Deputy Sheriff, Sean Schuelke Sr., Vanessa Nikole Gonzales, Senior Chief Petty Officer, USN (Active) and wife, Kimberly Lynn Gonzales; grandchildren, Joshua and wife Megan, Kaitlin and partner Nick, Amanda, Clay, Sean Jr. and wife Callie, Jessalyn, Kassi, Kevin and wife Bianca, Brandi and partner Vince; great-grandchildren, Trey, Mya, Bo, Rilynn, Kyson, Atlas, JJ, Leilani, Jaxson, Maximus, Malachi, and Amias; her sisters Maria, Tomasa, Erlinda, Louisa, and Rosita. Suzanne is further survived by numerous extended family and friends.
Suzanne was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and loved by all. An avid runner (in her youth), gardener, ranch hand (alongside her husband Jesse), reader, and fiercely loved her family. She found joy spending time with each of her grandchildren and more recently her great grandchildren. A very spiritual individual, she was devoted to her Catholic faith. She was a beautiful soul and strong family supporter who regularly showed an uncommon patience and kindness that was recognized by all.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be celebrated on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Memorial Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. at St. John's Catholic Church located at 500 E. Travis, Luling, Texas. Concluding funeral services the family would like to invite everyone to continue to share memories and fellowship at St. John's Catholic Church Parish Hall.
