Emblem

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Timothy Paul Lucey, Sr., also known as Tim. He died at the young age eighty-one (81) in Seguin, Texas, on October 15, 2024.

Tim was the seventh (7th) of fourteen (14) children, born on October 3, 1943 in Louisville, Kentucky to Margaret Reeves and William Frances Lucey, Sr. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, where he served from 1960 to 1966. After being honorably discharged, he returned home to Louisville, Kentucky where he started his family. He decided to move to Seguin, Texas in 2019 to be with his daughter and family. Tim was known for his care-free attitude, and his love of all animals, especially squirrels. He was funny, sarcastic, fun-loving, easy-going, and always had a story to tell. He loved telling stories of his youth, from his time walking behind John F. Kennedy's casket to his brother training with Cassius Clay (before he changed his name to Muhammad Ali). You could often find Tim in his favorite spot on the back porch smoking a cigarette and drinking coffee, or feeding the squirrels peanuts. Another one of his favorite past times was picking on his grandkids, and hanging out with his son-in-law, Beto.

Left to cherish Tim's memories are his children, Pamela Pantoja (Beto) of Seguin, Texas and Timothy Paul Lucey, Jr. (Justine) of Okeechobee, Florida; his loving grandchildren, Antonia "Toni" Pantoja of Seguin, Texas, Alexander "Mackie" Pantoja (Jordan) of Round Rock, Texas, Ryan Lucey, Isom Lucey, and Eli Lucey of Okeechobee, Florida; his brothers, John Lucey (Kim) of San Antonio, Texas, Kenneth Lucey (Geri) of Radcliff, Kentucky, Patrick Lucey (Linda) of Clewiston, Florida, Bobby Wilken (Joni) of Panama City, Florida; and his sister, Lisa Kenyon (Tim) of Troy, Ohio; his good friend, Paul Wolfe, Jr. of New Albany, Indiana; several nieces and nephews; and an abundance of friends and loved ones.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Amy "Mom Amy" Smith, parents, eight (8) siblings, several nieces and nephews, his dog, Charlie, and cat, Rap.

Visitation will begin on Friday, October 25, 2024, at Palmer Mortuary from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM, followed by graveside services with military honors at Shelter #2 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 10:15 AM.

Tim's spirit and charm will live on through the memories and hearts of his loved ones.
