Valentine Santos Ramos Jr.

December 30, 1989 — 2024

Valentine Santos Ramos Jr., affectionately known as "Tos," left this world far too soon on July 3, 2024, at the age of 34. Born on December 30, 1989, in Seguin, Texas, Tos was a true embodiment of imagination and empathy, a soul imbued with a deep sensitivity to the nuances of life and the lives of others.

His talent for impersonation was legendary among friends and family, often bringing laughter and joy in the most unexpected moments. Tos had an innate ability to connect with the lowly and the strange, embracing everyone he encountered as a brother or sister. His humor was raw yet never offensive, a reflection of his genuine spirit that sought to uplift rather than demean.

Tos led a life rich with interests and hobbies that mirrored his diverse personality. He found joy in skateboarding, fishing, and living out adventures in the enchanting world of "The Legend of Zelda." A dedicated music lover, he had a particular fondness for atmospheric rock, often drifting into reverie while listening to his favorite tunes. His heart belonged to the great outdoors; he reveled in the simplicity of nature, drawing inspiration from the woods that he adored. A true aficionado of coffee, he cherished quiet mornings filled with rich aromas and meaningful conversations. He found delight in sharing his sisters' yellow chicken curry and loved attending live shows and gatherings that fostered connection and camaraderie. Dancing was never a fear for Tos; rather, it was an expression of his spirit, a sacred celebration of life itself.

As a father, he was especially proud of his two daughters, Ennis Marie Ramos and Julia Annette Ramos. The beauty and the promise he saw in them, reflected a deep-seated desire to be more present in their lives despite his struggles and depression. His humility shone through in all aspects of his life, and he took pride in the simple pleasures and the bonds he cultivated with friends and family.

Tos spent his days working numerous jobs in fencing, roofing, and decking, where he took considerable pride in his new skills. He leaves behind a legacy of cherished relationships and joyful memories, particularly with his siblings Savannah Herrera, Fawn Ramirez, Forrest Gokey, and Miranda Vigil. He will be deeply missed by his beloved nieces—Heaven, Makaela, Neaveh, Emma, Faith, and Harper—and nephews—Patrick, Angel, Eli, Logan, and Mateo.

Valentine is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Brenda Kay Raso, who he cherished, and his father, Valentine Ramos Sr. He is survived by a family that loved him deeply, carrying forward the humility, laughter, and creativity he brought into their lives.

A memorial gathering to honor Tos will be held on March 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Palmer Mortuary & Cremations in Seguin, Texas, followed by a memorial service from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. As family and friends gather to celebrate his life, they will remember him not just for his struggles but for the incredible light he shared with those around him—a light that will continue to shine in their hearts.
