Victor "VJ" Serna

Victor "VJ" Serna, a beloved soul with a heart full of love and kindness, tragically left this world on July 1, 2023. Born on July 7, 1997, in Seguin, Texas, Victor's life was cut short at such a young age that has left family and friends grieving.

Victor's passing has left an indelible mark on those who had the privilege of knowing him. His infectious laughter and warm smile were constant during his time among us. He possessed a selflessness that was truly remarkable and he never hesitated to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Victor's nurturing nature endeared him to all who crossed his path.

One of his greatest joys in life was riding motorcycles - the wind in his hair and the sense of freedom resonating deep within his soul. Victor embraced adventure and cherished every moment spent cruising the open road. When not at the wheel of his bike, he loved spending time with family and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Robert and Mary Serna; father, Arturo Vasquez; uncles, Rudy Serna, Richard Serna, Robert "Bobby" Serna; cousins, Richard Christopher Serna and Baby Joey Hernandez.

Undoubtedly, Victor's family held a special place in his heart. He leaves behind an adoring mother, Rachel Serna, who will forever cherish her precious son’s memory. His brother Ruben Serna will carry on their shared bond of brotherhood with immense pride. In addition, Victor leaves behind a beautiful daughter, Paulina Juarez, who will always hold her father’s love close to her heart.

His absence is deeply felt by those he leaves behind, including his nephew Noah Serna; his uncle and aunt, Rene and Nancy Serna. Alongside them, Victor is survived by aunts Silvia Serna and Ermelinda Serna; cousins Rocky and Valerie Serna, Steven Serna, Rene and Laura Serna, Robert A. and Roxanna Serna, Cordero and Clarissa Barrientes Sr., Robert L. and Blanca Serna, Valarie and Joey Hernandez, Ernestina Serna, Brianna and Justin Carpenter, Erica Serna. Additionally, his memory will be forever cherished by numerous other extended family members and countless friends who were touched by his genuine spirit.
 
To honor the life of Victor "VJ" Serna, a visitation will be held on July 28, 2023, from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Crossroads Church located at 3455 US-90 in Seguin, Texas. Following the visitation, a funeral service will begin at 6:00 PM. These gatherings will allow family members, friends, and all those whose lives were blessed by Victor's presence to come together in mourning while celebrating the life of this remarkable young man.

As we say goodbye to Victor in this earthly realm, let us find solace in the memories he has left behind. May his kind spirit live on within each of us as a reminder of the power of unconditional love. 

Even though Victor's time with us was far too short, his impact on our lives will be everlasting. May his soul find eternal peace as he rides into the sunset on that great heavenly highway above us all. Rest in peace, Victor "VJ" Serna. You are deeply loved; you will be profoundly missed.
